Stupid question about o2 sensor wire
Like the title says, I've got a stupid question about o2 sensor wiring.
Car is a 1990 Civic wagon with d15B2.
I recently picked up a 4-2-1 header made for a OBD1 car. Since the OBD1 Civics have 02 sensors behind the oil pan, I know I'll need a to relocate the o2 sensor. So can I just use a piece of regular wire? Or do o2 sensors use something special like shielded wire?

extend the harness side of the wire, or go to a junk yard and get male and female ends for the o2 sensor and make an extension harness. do not cut the o2 sensor wire and try to extend it, because it will not work. ask me how i know lol
yeah, i'm calling bull **** too. why do you think they come in a kit with a heat shrink tube when you buy a universal one? for ***** and giggles? you can use a piece of wire and extend it however long you need it to be.
ok im speaking from personal experience. you can mess up a 100 dollar o2 sensor if you want to. this was an oem sensor also. not a universal
