Very easy/retarded question (please help I'm a newb :)
Where/how do I check my transmission fliud?
I believe there is a dipstick but I can't find it and don't even know where to look. I have a 97 Prelude. Here is a picture:
If someone could point out in that pic where I should be looking for it, it would be greatly appreciated

if it's anything like my 95 H22 it doesn't have a dipstick for trans fluid. you gotta take the filler bolt off, stick your finger in there and feel where the fluid is. it should be level with the bottom of the hole. you can take the bolt out, fill it up til it starts draining out, then wait for it to stop draining and you're good to go. gotta be on level surface though.
Yeah if its an automatic then there will be a dip stick. If not then you'll need to get your fingers dirty.
Look at your owners manual to figure out how to check the tran fluid for a manual, its hard to explain. You have to get under the car and unbolt a bolt located to the right of the oil pan I think its the transmission. Once you unbolt the bolt you put your finger in and feel where the level is at. If the level is at the bolt line you're ok if lower then add, and if you unbolt it and tran fluid flows out you've got to much.
I stand correct if any one care to.

All autos have a dipstick for the tranny...I have a 5spd, and I use motor oil.
