Default Will a 1999 si radio work in 1996 ex?

I was wondering if anyone could help me and see if a 1999 or 2000 si radio work in a 1999 ex? I sold my cd player when I got my car and put in an aftermarket cd player but want to put factory cd player back in but dont have it anymore. Thanks

It will not plug and play. '96-'98 use one plug. '99-'00 use another plug. If you want it to work you're going to need an adapter harness.

It also won't fit in the stock location. It's too big.

It's not worth the trouble OP, keep your stock deck or buy a aftermarket deck.

I have an Si deck in my '98 Civic EX coupe and love it. It will light amber too btw, so if you want everything to match you'll want to change the rest of the dash lighting.

Oh, and the OP already said he doesn't have the stock deck anymore.
