Does the 99-00 Si radio differ from it's lower modeled brothers? If so what are the differences.

 

It's pretty much the same as any other Civic/Accord cd player except that it lights up amber instead of the stock white/lt. green.

 

i just upgraded my factory 96 EX deck to a 99 Si deck. one difference is the incorporated CD player. 2 as mentioned is that it lights up orange. 3. i dont know if its in my head or if its real, but it seems to have a lil more power than my EX deck. the Si one has larger heat sinks than the EX one. not sure if its for higher power rating or because of the cd player/radio combo.

question.....after i hooked up my 99 radio into my 96 civic [had to use 2 harnesses, couldnt believe best buy actually carried a male harness to plug into a factory radio] the deck doesnt illuminate as bright as it should. i notice the 99 harness has 2 orange wires for illumination. anyway, i cant adjust the brightness of the radio lights when i turn on my lights. anyone have a solution?

also, how the hell do u set the clock??
