aight heres the thing with my car i fixed all vaccum lines and changed coolant car ran good. now it surges again when the car gets warm .. inoticed one day coolant came out of th cap so i think it might be bad cause you can wiggle it ... and also its throwing code1 (o2 sensro) i belive thats it ..... only thing is my car has only 1 in the header ... and when i went to go get a new one they have 2 available .. upstream and downstream .. idk the diff. except one has a longer wire ... so i got the downstream .. which would i need .. thanks .... and would either of those problesm make it surge when the car gets warm

 

i could be wrong but i think it is upstream.

 

well i bought a downstream ... and figured coultn i jsut cut the wires and splice them together and it work the same?

also doesnt all civic till the 5th generation only have oone o2 sensor .. i know all the ef hatches i had only had one in the header .. so i dont see how there would be a upstream and downstream

 

need to know which i need asap .. im gonan take the downstream back if its the wrong one tomm .. but i need to know first ...

and what sthe diff in the 2 .. and why would i be able to purchase both for my car if it comes stock with only 1

 

What engine/ecu do you have in your car?

How many wires were on the stock O2 sensor?

Where did you buy the new sensor?

Who looked up the part number?
