Default just a question i need to be answered

i recently got a dc 4-1 header for my car and i noticed that where the o2 sensor goes is near the collector. on my stock header, its more in front. i was wondering if i can extend those O2 wires w/out throwing any cel codes as it isn't long enough?

Typically DC headers come with the extension harness for the O2 sesor...at least mine did.

If you bought it used...you probably didn't get the extension...in which case it is safe to simply extend the wires. Just make sure you do a good job and you shouldn't get any codes.

2 ft. of 16g wire (for each wire on the o2 sensor) and crimp connectors is all you need.

It's good enough how it is. There's no tension on the wires. The crimp connectors and plenty of electric tape are just fine.

actually, watch out for the electric tape. i thought i did it well, but the heat around the header and engine bay slowly un-did the tape. solder/crimping is the way to go, then wrapped/covered with heat shrink or wire loom

Thanks. I'll keep my eye on it. I ran mine from the connector straight back under the dizzy.

casper electronics makes honda o2 extensions.
I bought one for my dc header just last week.

Its good quality and matches right up. I bought the 3' section...but a 2' wouldve worked........I shouldve measured (oh well)
