Default AEM wideband messed up? Help.

I have an AEM wideband. I got it brand new. It has been in the car since sept. I was boosted for 2 months, then took the kit out. and Have been stock ever since.

Anyways the other day my gauge stopped working. I just get ----- across it. and sometimes it will throw in a number....

What's messed up here? perhaps a sliced wire under the car?

bad wideband o2?

I mean its not even a half year old!

I'm not sure about this problem but, I might be able to help you just a lil bit. what is it connect to since you don't have boost anymore?

Have you noticed any driveability problems? Are you using the stock ECU? Do you have a working OBD system? CEL on or are there any DTCodes stored on the ECU?

Use a multimeter and test the O2 sensor to make sure it is still working properly. Check all of your connections/splices to make sure they are still good and clean. Where it is an intermittent condition I would think it might be a bad connection/wire.

widebands dont connect to anything that has to do with boost.. Its a sensor that runs in the down pipe of a N/A or boosted car to help the tunner achieve a perfect 14.7 a/f ratio while partial throttle, and 13.0 a/f N/A applications, and 11.0apr boost.

When is the gauge reading --- is it all the time or is it on decel or idle. On decel the stock computer will pull fuel and cause it to read --- meaning full lean. Also a stock car usually idles around 17:1 so if it is a little leaner it may read --- on the gauge. What does it read under full throttle?

Watch this video on how to check your sensor.
