Icon2 Engine swap? What to or best

Im on a Budget and what motor swap Would be best? I am also new to engine swaps, what components are mainly required? Axles, Trans, ECU, mounts, and ?

Im thinking B20/Allmotor, B16A2, or B18B1 what motors would be cheaper to build and reliable?

For a B20 longblock stock hows is it in preformance wise?

Going V-tec On A B20 what is needed A differ head? whats best?, would it be expensive going to a B20 V-tec Route?
ETC.

Please need sum comments?

if you are on a budget, i'd recommend just buying a b16 swap. it's quick and reliable. but yup, just need the motor, tranny, axles, mounts, ecu. and it depends on what car it's going into. obd1 or obd2?

B20/VTEC is a B20 bottom end a GSR top end. B20 is torque-y because its a small SUV motor. With a boosted B20/VTEC your gonna see good torque and horse power gains.

Well since your new to engine swaps i don't think you need to mess around with a b20 vtec. You want cheap to build and reliable, well the b18b wouldn't be fun enough though its cheap but you really can't build an all motor b18b thats worth a damn, so of your three choices im gonna have to say b16a though im gonna get flamed for saying so...

+1 a b16 would not be bad.with bolt ons and cams it should be pretty decent. its just as fast as a gsr from a roll. when i had a b16 i never lost to a gsr from a roll. all i had was a cai, clutch and a 8lbs flywheel.
if you dont want to go all motor just boost your single cam.
