What do you think of my time tonight at the track?
Please voice your opinons on how you think I did tonight at the track! All opinons welcome good or bad.
Alright, I have a 2000 Civic Si with AEM Cold Air Intake, Tanabe Racing medalion exhaust, Clutchnet Stage 2 Clutch, and a ZEX 10.5lb. flywheel, timing at 18 degrees, back seat out. I ran at the track tonight for the first time with this car. Also, my shocks are super blown like I mean fluid squirting out of the front shocks like a squirt gun. I made a total of 7 runs with the best being a:
R/T-.948
60'-2.356
1/8-9.834
1/8 MPH-72.83
1/4-15.244
1/4 MPH-90.31
These runs were made on Nitto 450's (Shitty Tires), doing a burnout before each run. I am also a 270lb. driver. I was consistant with the times being between 15.2-15.4 vith 60fts. varying between 2.3-2.5. I am going to get shocks and thengo back to the track and see what I run. I am looking for a 14.9 with these mods. I think I could of had it tonight but the track was shitty I was getting wheel hop from the 3rd to 4th shift.
My freind also was running in his Nitro Si he ran a:
R/T-1.279
60'-2.341
1/8-9.167
1/8 MPH-83.01
1/4-13.907
1/4 MPH-101.07
His runs were made on Yokohama Street tires.

get rid of the 450's, then some practice. The 450's are your worst nightmare!
Being 220-235 lbs, I can relate on thw weight!

Yeah, everyone at the track told me to get rid of them. I know they suck but they came on my rims when got them so I guess I will use them until they are gone. With good tires and some decent shocks I should be a 15.0.

I was running similar 60's with 450's on my 'rex, with the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions I was netting 2.0/2.1's consistantly. I've got a set of 205/50/R15 Potenza's in the mail to replace my crappy Firestones up front (which are going to the rear).
I am getting whel hop casue i got a 6 puck clutch and 10.5 lb. flywheel with blown *** shock in the front...Like i mean there is oil sqirting out like a squirt gun!
Yeah with a 2.2 60' you should run a 15.0. That'll about be the limit without less weight or more power....
Slicks will get you 14's...........
