I need a new thermostat in my 2003 Accord. I don't know too much about cars, but thought this might be something I could myself. I have no clue how to though. Any suggestions? Or is $150 the mechanic is charging me the best route to take?

 

You could save yourself a quick $100 or so doing it yourself. It shouldn't take more than an hour. Do you have the 4CYL or V6? Either way no special tools are required.

 

I think a 2003 Accord Thermostat cost $21.95 - on partsgeek.com guys.... you may try to see it for your self guys...

What makes you think you need a new thermostat? If it's a 4cylinder it's EASY. Get a coolant drain pan under the car. Pop off the quick release on the thermostat, remove and replace the thermostat. Pop the holder back in place and replace the coolant.
