Okay my 92CX motor is smoking cause the rings are gone...So ive been looking for a D16z6 swap..and i havent had any kinda luck.. So i found a 93 DX 4door here locally..its got a D15b7 ...Will this work in my 92cx ...Any differences in wiring?? engine mounts???? and will my CX tranny still work with the D15b7?? Are these engines better than the CX as far as reliability..and strength?? will my CX A/C still work on the D15b7 which compressor will i need?? DO i also need to get the DX ecu?? what all will i need from the DX to make it all work...(a list would be nice) ...Thanks

 

same wiring, no other wiring necessary, i believe u'll need the ecu from the dx, yes the tranny will work, but high redline u might have problems shifting with the gear ratios of the CX tranny. strengh wise it's 102 hp i believe rather than ur whopping 92 hp that can't open a pickle jar

a/c will also work, no mods required, they all use the same compressor for EG a/c's, for EK's there is lil modification but nothing major -- but that doesn't apply so, but

this will be a VERY easy swap for you. plug and play, tighten bolts and time is all it'll cost you

yea go for it...it should drop rite in...anything is better than a cx...or u could do mini-me. and add a ex tranny...ull notice such a difference!

Are the engine mount the same on a d15b7 and d15b8...Meaning can i take off my CX mounts and use them on the DX engine?? Is the gear ratios in the CX tranny much Different from the DX?? Will my CX ecu work on the DX engine?? Thanks...
