DID SEARCH, HELP ABOUT Z6 INTO DX/CX WIRING INFO
I want to put my z6 in a cx/dx. what do i need to do to make everything workproperly with this set-up. are the axles the same? should everything else work. i know i need the z6 ecu, but i dont know what wiring i need to do to make the v-tec work, as well as anyother issues. sorry bout the noob ?? but i am looking for a ride and if it is easy to do then i will buy a cx of a dx and do the wiring. but if it is hard to do then ill just get another ex or si.

its almost direct bolt in. you will have to run two wires one for the vtec pressure switch and one for vtec spool solenoid. other than that it all bolts up.
edit: you may have to modify the exhaust depending on if you buy a cx or dx. cx you will need a modified exhaust but dx i believe bolts up maybe some 02 sensor wiring also but im not sure

Ok here is what you need. You need z6 long block, distributor, p28 ECU, 4 wire O2 sensor, and intake matifold (if you wonna go cheap). You will need to wire up the vtec solenoid, and vtec pressure swith. Also you need to wire up the 4 wire O2 sensor. You can use your stock header, and your stock tranny. I suggest you upgrade those for better power. Replace your stock header with z6 header, and tranny with ex/si tranny. You can keep everything else.
BTW if you want p28 ECU I can sell you one for cheap. I will get auto ecu today and will have it chipped for 5spd, and tested if you want it PM me.
Ok on the wiring part you will have to get some ECU plugs from some wiring harness. You will need to wire up the vtec solenoid to A4, and vtec pressure sensor to D6 (I don't remeber correctly some one correct me if I'm wrong), and other wire from vtec pressure sensor goes to the ground. I don't remember how to wire up the 4 wire O2 sensor but it's not hard neither.

hey where u at in ohio. if your close let me know and ill help ya out with the swap.
ok if your car is a 92 your firewall harness is already wired for vtec, so all u have to do is add 2 wires to your stock engine harness. if your car isn;t a 92, just run the wires for vtec through the firewall through the hole to the bottom left of your battery.
also u need the z6 dizzy and it will plug right in. If your car has abs u will need the abs axles, if it doesn't u will need the non abs axles. make sense? the alternators, and powersteering are all the same. also if u wanted alittle more power get a y8 intake manifold. this sill give u alittle better flow. and their faily cheap. u want a manual if your car is manual.
let me know where u live. this swap is very easy. and i could do it in about 4 hrs.

What year will the CX be?
If it's a 1992 model then it will be 100% plug and play if you use the D16Z6 engine harness.
