will a exhaust system from an ek coupe fit in an ek hatchback???
just wondering. bc i got a good deal on an ek coupe complete exhaust system. and i want it for my ek. t
thanks
thanks
I got a Kteller 3" catback from my 95 coupe to fit my 99 hatch, and all I did was cut the complete muffler off and replace it with a 12" magnaflow 4" tip looks great. but the Kteller catback is adjustable in the middle, so it might be diffent with other brands.
I've searched this subject before and never got a straight answer, just people talking out their exhaust. I have a friend who did it with a ebay catback and he had cut 4" before the bend over the control arm, and 4" after the control arm, and cut the tip of his muffler and weld on a turn down piece.

It fits. Heres how it works.
Use an EX exhaust manifold, or an aftermarket header + EX cat + EX B pipe/intermediate pipe/catback + hatch axleback.
For anyone who doesn't believe it works check the part numbers between an DX coupe and DX hatch for the intermediate pipe, both the same! meaning that logically using a complete EX coupe exhaust except for the axleback it should be complete bolt on swap.

my exact point of people talking out their exhausts. because of ricers like you and their corectness of jdm terms and trim, no one cares! even though we all know there are no such thing, we also know what he is talking about when he say EK automatically know he is talking about 96-00 civics. so be quiet read and learn something maybe you can help someone one day, until then read.

Props to the poster above, thank you. But besides the having to get all of the parts above you are going to have to extend the wire length of your O2 sensors because the cat is located in the exhaust manifold of the in your hatch...and in an ex its farther downstream, kinda self explanatory and be sure to insulate the wires from the element of the road.
