Default anyone have water leaking problems?

had a water leak problem?
Im thinking about gutting my interior to find out where its coming from, but before i do that id see what everyone has to say first.
I dont know where its coming from or how to find it.
but its been really stormy here lately in southern california.
come to find out i looked in my trunk and found water in the spare tire container thing. And now the back floor in the back of my car is wet(back seat carpet). so im thinking about gutting the inside out to find where its coming from, so mold doesnt start to grow or something hahah.

Has anyone ever had this problem?
How can i find where its coming from?
Any suggestions or comments?

I would tell you to search, but it's broken

Yes it is very common.. What year is the car? what trim level?

My 94 integra RS had an issue with the trunk filling up with water.. almost enough to have fishes in the back.. I replaced the taillight gaskets and no more leaking water.

It can also leak because of clogged sunroof drain tubes (if you have sunroof), it can also leak thru the antenna plug hole, etc.

More info = more help.

oh and would the sunroof just put water in the backseats?
not the front?
and yeah man, that trunk is soaked, yet the carpet in the trunk is completely dry?
just under it haha

Same thing that was happening to me.. just in the spare tire wheel area.. which in my case was faulty taillight gaskets.

Here's a start:

If you have access to a air compressor with air nozzle.. I suggest popping your rear interior panels off.. locating the drain tubes and blowing them out really good.. check for debris, dirt, etc.. this can cause backup and the water leaking..

Next.. Pull the taillights out and replace the gaskets.. Use a little hondabond or gasket sealer on them.. (i used just a tad)

You could try to make some gaskets, but i would suggest spending the $ and buying them from acura...It can be expensive though, but well worth it.

I'm trying to find a link to the DIY water leak thread..
