Default Water Leak Problem. 1996 HATCHBACK.

1996 Hatchback.

Okay so i know its not coolant nor gas thats making my driver side carpet wet.. i know its water.. cus when it started raining thats when i started building up a puddle on my carpet. (i searched by the way. i must suck at it cus i only got few results and all it was were coolant or gas leak but nothing about water) what could it be? where could water be possibly leaking?

you said it rained well there are lot places where water can enter.you gonna have to search underneath the carpet firewall and everything. there some rubber seals that go bad underneath the carpet

I have the same problems, but mine is because theres a giant rip in the sheet metal that makes up my floorboard. If you lift up the carpet, you can see concrete.

Jack up your car and make sure theres not a hole in the floor. im serious.

While your at it, check your spare tire well for water. My 99 hatch leaks back there. Damn endless rain.

i fixed the tire well problem it was entering through the tap screws for the vents.. i sealed them with clear silicone. its just the driver side that im having hard time finding whats causing the water to seep in.

Water usually is condensed under the carpet, and stays there. Could just be that it got wet once from a spill. If not, you got a leak through the window, door, air blower, or frame of car.
