i just noticed when im cruising its fine but when i mash on it, my tach needle bounces up like its drunk or sumthing. car doesnt show any difference so i kno its something with the sensor, cluster, or wire to cluster? HELP! ITS ANNOYING! haha. thanks

 

Clean your IACV. Should do the trick.

 

its not you iacv because the motor would idle like **** he said its only the needle that jumps up the motor is running normal and is not revving up its just your electronics

sounds like a failing vss sensor.

 

Same problem with mine. It likes to randomly go to diffrent rpms.

 

Could be a bad igniter unit in the distributor or a poor connection of the blue tach wire at the igniter. Might even be a bad tach.

 

I already know I have a bad distributor, Ill see if it changes anything after replacement.
