Ls vtec, oil pressure problems
Fully built B18B1 block, Dart 1 sleeves, Eagle Rods, Eagle crank, weisco pistons. Stock GSR head with golden eagle vtec swap kit.
As far as oil pump goes I belive its a type R pump.
Anyway, my buddy and I have built this car from ground up. As far as I know, no oil pressure light comes on, and vtec kicks.
about a year ago, He quite driving the car and now it collects dust. He says the oil pressure gauge is reading very low! He is afraid to drive it, however he says vtec still kicks.
I asked him if it was a faulty gauge, the autometers crap out sometimes, he says he hooked a manual gauge to the head port(s) and got low readings.
I really hate the fact that this car is sitting and he doesnt know what to do about it. I want to help him ,so im asking for anyone on heres help. this car has everything done to be one badass car!
