I got a 97 CD7 LX that runs fine at times but lately its been shutting off on me while I'm driving. The car starts off fine, it idles around 800 rpms but for some reason the car warms up pretty quick. Usually, when I start it, it'll be around 1200-1500 rpms before it drops down to around 800, but after 2 mins or less I figured thats too quick(my DC4 rpms don't drop till after 5mins or more).
So thats one of the problems, Secondly I've noticed that my check engine light recently came on, I ran the code for it and got a 65 which means the o2 sensor heater needs to be replaced. However I got another problem that coincide with that, it appears that I need to replace the condenser or compressor. Not quite sure which one because when I took it for a smog the guy stated that the device kept turning off and on. At the time, I didnt really pay attention, I figured since I pass I'm set. Little did I know... Also I checked under the hood to find my air housing is cracked. There's a big hole there and I can see the air filter,

#8 So far I've located 2 problems but I'm not sure if its the condenser or compressor that needs replacing. Which one will cause the car to shut off? Or will both cause that problem?
Thanks in advance for helping/viewing.
