Default Check engine problem.....

I have a 1999 civic coupe and i just got a regular oil change today. The car had been driving normally. So i get the car back after it being service and get out of the parking lot and as soon as i get out, the god damn check engine light comes on. So i make a u-turn and head back to the dealership. They say that its a emission problem and will go away in a week or so without even reading the code. Since i had manually checked the code before, i thought lets do it again and see what the problem is. Anyways, i plugged in a paperclip into the CORRECT wire and then began counting the number of blinks. Anyways, the blinks went on forever and ever. I got up to 59 and then got tired. I though that it might have been a mistake so i took the paper clip out re-inserted a new one and the same problem. There would be one blink, a long break, another blink, a long break and it went on forever. However, i noticed that when i am driving and get to a stop sign, my car seems like it is going to stall but it doesn't. Any ideas. And yeah, the closest autozone is 2hours away and i don't want to shell $90 (yes, that's right) to get a god damn number.

Here's the history:
Last year, i had a code 67 and had the CAT replaced. Thank god for the 8/80 warranty. And after that, no check engine sign until today. My car has been driven 59,000 miles and is a 1999 model. If it was the emmissions problem, would i still be covered under the warranty. Also, i have a fuel-cutoff switch installed.

My guess is your intake air temp sensor.
1 long flash and then a break, 1 long flash and then a break, and so on, right???

yep. It would blink. then wont for 2 seconds. Then blink again and it went on forever. At first i thought that it was actually a code 10. But it seemed all to simple to believe.

Mine does the same thing, its your IAT. Try taking it off and cleaning it before you replace it.

Hell yeah, keep me posted. After cleaning it, mine will work fine for a few months, and then throw the check engine light again. I'm just gonna buy a new one eventually.

The last time i checked the CEL it gave me a code 67 afterwhich it just stop blinking. Since it continued to blink this time around, i thought that it might have been a blank code or something was messed up.

Thank you Honda-tech police officer. Next time I'll just yell SEARCH to him, insted of giving him the answer. When you become a moderator here you can tell everybody else what to do, till then STFU.

AddictiveAllMotor - just ignore him. theres no point in trying to argue your point to these kinds of people. they are just hard headed and will never listen.

he acts like a 12 year old trying to get some e-hardcore points, dont let it get to you.

I know, I know, it just gets under my skin when people run their mouth about other people. Asking questions is part of the learning process. Not everybody knows everything about cars, it takes time to learn this stuff. I didn't know **** when I first started modding Honda's.
