Knock Knock Knocking DX
Ok Guys. Pizza Guy In Crisis. My 97 Dx has 225,xxx miles on it. Every few weeks i have to put a few quarts in it. I useed to run it until the oil light came on going around turns, thinking it was just a faulty censor. Realizing the error of my ways I began checking everytime i got gas. This morning i went out, started my car, ran fine. Went to stewarts, got gass checked my oil, i was a little low so i bought three quarts, one for good luck. I put to in, checked it again and i had plenty of room for another, so i dumped it in. Now it started knocking, loud! And it lost tonss of power. Now it stalls at redlights and the oil light is flickering. Now after checking the bottles i put 10w 40 in instead of my usual 5w 30. (stock boys at advanced auto trying to keep my on my toes.) The trouble is, i deliver pizzas, so...no car no money, no money, no car.....see my problem. Thanks Guys.

Hmm definitely sounds like you flooded something, take off your spark plug wires and pull one if not all four spark plugs out and check to see if you got oil on/around them. Chances are your valve cover/tube seals are shot and it's getting flooded inside the spark plug chamber I guess you could say.

Ok So. Yes Shes Blown up. Yes I do take Care of her. The Problem is the mechanic. I allowed my tech teacher to use my car for an oil change on monday. Apparently His Students only hand tightened the oil filter, I pulled back into stewarts where i bought the oil (in my sisters car obv. not mine.) and there in a huge puddle of oil(followed by a trail to the exit) lay a smashed up oil filter. lesson learned, no one works on my car but me. Dont throw stones children, i asked for help not critisizm.
