Can someone tell me what the blue light by the sunroof switch goes to?

 

Holy crap.....I'm not the only one that has no idea what thats for!!

Does anyone know? Its that little tiny blue light up in the map light console thats only seems to light up once and a while.............

I originally thought it might have somethign to do with letting you know if your map lights are set to "door"......but that would be a really stupid reason to put it there........

 

ive never in person seen this blue light you speak of but i am going to guess its an 'ambient' light. just kinda meant to tastefully light up the dash/interior of your car at night. ive seen newer benzes, audis and acuras have this kind of light.

 

ya, you would think that.........but its like the size of a freakin pin head. It hardly lights up an inch out from it...............

I think not abient light...

Well you're wrong.

It's the ambient lighting for the console.

They've had it there in Accords since '03.

Well crap I was hoping it actually went to something... I guess instead of using illuminated buttons and switches Honda just cheaped out and gave us the blue light.

All of the buttons and switches that need to be illuminated are already illuminated.

It's ambient lighting. Do you know what "ambient" means? Look in a dictionary.
