I got a 95 si hatch b20 turbo. I got regular 87 octane fuel the other day and just now tonight it sputtered down when idling and threw code 16. I know this is an injector code. I changed my fuel filter out of pure curiosity. Fixed the problem for only a moment. Everytime i take the fuel filter off and then put it back on the problem goes away momentarily then comes back very quickly. I completely drained the fuel system and filled it with brand new 92 octane fuel. fixed the problem for just a moment then started sputtering and the cel came back on not even a block down the road. Any ideas? maybe fuel pump, injector, or main relay? No idea. I did completely remove the injectors tonight to make sure everything was clean and I did not notice anything out of the ordinary. please help. my car is barely driveable. also it wont rev past about 3500 rpms
