Default Apex'i VAFC problem -no vtec

I just finished installing a VAFC i bought. Everything is operational, I double checked all the wiring. Everything seems ok, but I just took it out for a test drive and Vtec is not activating. I messed with the VAFC and got it show VTi and VTo, VTo is activating, but VTi is not. What could the problem be? The sensors are set to 6 6, is that what they are supposed to be set too? Help me...

did you reset your ECU after you installed the VAFC? Did you set your car type to 4 cyl.? Try that out. I had the same problem, but later found out I had it on 6cyl instead of 4cyl. It fixed the problem.

also double check your wiring again... specifically check the VTEC wire...

It's 6 6 for the integra. I would look at the VTi and Vto wires, they might be mixed up. I believe the VTi is on the ECU side of the controller and the Vto is on the engine side of the controller. If you are still having problems reconnect the VTEC wire and see if you vtec comes on now.

Hey just thought about it. Did you connect the VTM wire? It's not in the instructions you have to go to the site and look up the pin position.
