Default White smoke from air filter

Recent starting problem on my 92 accord. I crank and slightly tries, but i noticed if i crank and then flip the key off and on quick, it will sputter hard and shoot a plume of white smoke out the air filter case. Help cause i'm killing my battery daily. Any ideas? Plugs and wires are new.

Most likely a head gasket. I would get it fixed before you try to start it anymore because you could have a bit of coolant built up in the cylinders. This is likely causing the hard start. You run the risk of hydro-lock.

Ok. New wrinkle. Could the white puff have something to do with flooding. I took plugs out. Strong fuel smell. Left em out for 45 minutes. Cleaned them up. Reinstalled. And it started right up. Drove home (no other choice). Started it an hour later. A little rough. Tried it again 2 hours later and won't start. Gets close but not quite.

ok do u have a cel stored if not i would pressure test each cylinder to ensure u have no internal leaks and but i just noticed you said the plugs and wires are new i would check the firing order of the plugs because it sounds like one or 2 of the cylinders is firing on the intake stroke because of the left fuel on plugs im not sure but i believe you care has the f22a1 in it and the firing or might be 1 3 4 2 this might tak care of your problems if it doesnt then try to diagnose more stuff before you go and buy parts good luck

No recent cel. Interestingly enough, put a brand new set of plugs in and it started ... Once. Then it goes back to the old stuff above. It's time for a cap and rotor. It's getting fuel, so i'll test spark for the millionth time in 3 months rechecked firing order and it is correct. I'm hatin life.

Sounds like you're backfiring.

Compression is good in all cylinders. Put in new distributor cap and rotor and viola it starts on first crank, no more white puff and runs much smoother. Crossing everything and hopin that's all it was. Old rotor was a mess - dusty and rusty.
