Default would this s/charger work for me?

I have a 93 eg with a jdm b16, would the jrsc work for me If I get a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness. Is there anything more i might need other than a retune, injectors and a new fuel pump?

this whole conversion harness deal is confusing me.... the more i look into it, it seems the obd2 to obd1 jumper is for when you run a older engine in a newer car, am I incorrect?.... i can't find a obd1 to obd2 jumper.... do they make them?

www.phearable.net

Also check their tech articles. It will explain EVERYTHING about chipped ECU's and conversion harnesses.

John Vega is a cool guy. You can also email them with specific questions.

"These are available in a standard OBD1 style plug, or you can purchase them with a built in OBD2 adapter harness for no additional cost"

thats from hondatas website , so its a P28 with a built in adapter so it plugs into the OEM obd2b harness

i see, I think i get it now, so basiclly if I run a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness on it, it should work.... kinda wierd way of doin it... the ecu is obd1 adapted to obd2, then if I use this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBD2-...Q5fAccessories

should work out..... seems messy... i dunno

You won't need the harness. It will plug right up to your harness. The other guy needed it cause he had it in an obd2 car.

if the ecu has obd2 plugs, you'll need an obd1 to obd2 conversion harness to plug it in.

the one in the pic he sent is an obd2b pin set in a p28 so he would have to use a reverse harness. they should make them. rywire, boomslang (if he is still doin them) lowcash.
you are correct hondata sells obd1 ecu's with obd2 pinsets and sockets, negating the need for a jumper harness.
