C230 Kompressor VS Type R (updated version)
sorry about the delay, the race did happen and here are the results:
Straight line acceration:
1st race: In the first race we both fugged up. I burnt all the way through first then shifted into second but fell out of VTEC (I was at 5200rpm) , I got back into VTEC and had a clean race after thats. The C coupe also had a bad start, the great techs bogged off the line but had a clean race after that (german drivers bahh). Even with my mistakes I pulled hard on him and by the top of third I had him by about 4 1/2 car lenghts, he high beamed me and we shut it down to run again.
2nd race: I couldn't have asked sfor a more perfect start, I dropped around 3100 rpm and within a second I was in VTEC (thank you ATS final and Azenis), the coup also had a perfect start thanks to ESP (traction control). I pulled instantly on him off the start and just kept on pulling hard until the end of 4th (yep around 115mph) and I hard around 10 - 12 car lengths on him (I killed him). We shut it down and talked for awhile then took off to the highway (I think they were scared by this point)
Highway pulls:
About a 1/2 hour later the highway pulls began (I had to eat something).
1st pull 60-110mph: Well we got next to each other gave the three beep start and he were off. Instantly the car begen there marchs to redline and I begen pulling on the autobahn cruiser. By near the top of 4th I had 3 1/2 car lenghts on him, the top each of these car were not that bad. We shut it down and ran aain
2nd pull 40-120mph (they said the other pull I was to much in my power band, whatever). I start in 2nd and began the pull. In this pull I was just plainly put OUT on they german asses. The ATS make my car pull like mad in second and by the top of that gear (only 18 mphs later) I had him by 1 1/2 cars lengths and pulled strong up to 120 and shut it down about 7 cars infront of him.
Well the ITR proved superior in top end and in off the line power. The germans gave my car credit where it was due and I even let one drive her and he commented "wow I never thought an NA four could pull so hard" we gave each other hand shakes and it was over

One of my friend use a C coupe to auto-x too. And he felt regret of getting it. Now he drives his friend's DC2 to race in the rest of the season.

i autocrossed a c-coupe at a mercedes test drive event at Nassau Coliseum before. Mercedes had their complete lineup available for testing on a short autocross course
the c-coupe has by far the best handling and feel of all the mercedes but still felt sluggish in comparison to the Lexus IS300 they had there for comparison

I saw some dude with 1 on the hwy the other day,I wanted to see what it had but this moron was going at a steady 115mph,He would give me a chance to catch up and run,I would of went from the next stop light of till 100 or so,but starting the race at 115 would have been suicide.Do you think a GSR with I/H/E could take him on?
Well lets not forget that you had mods done, and very good mods at that... ATS, FW and clutch not to mention the I/H/E.... However, stock for stock, the ITR is a clear winner. However, they are two very different vechiles. I love the ITR, but I would not want to take it for a long haul, however, any Benz is a pleasure to drive on a long trip.
