C230 kompressor vs. ITR
this is just the pre fight details. Well as many of you know I work at the Mercedes Benz corporate headquarters and the techs want to have alittle fun. They are saying my ITR can't beat the C coupe. So in a friendly jesture we are gonna race today at around 5pm at a undisclosed location, don't worry people not a public stretch of road, and see who's king.
Since I work there I've driven almost every benz including the SIckly fast SL55 AMG (its got 500hp). But I know my car will dominate the C coupe. For people who don't know its got 189hp and 192lbs of torque and its RWD but it weighs a whopping 3,250lbs so it really no threat. it an Inline four with a supercharger.
Now the question isn't if I'll will its by how much LOL , of yeah my car is modded for those who don't already know.

they are quick luittle cars, but nothing compared to the R , i amlsot traded the R for one of those and then didnt becuase of the power out of my car.
What mods do you have?

Hmmm.. a Benz tech says the C230K will beat an R? Thats pretty sad.
I have a SLK230, same engine but is a bit lighter than the C coupe. I raced it once with the type R (bone stock) and my brother driving the SLK. Right off the line they are very close. I jumped less than half a car length when shifted into 2nd. So it depends on your shift, I would NOT be surprised if the C coupe could keep up with your R.
At least you can tell them your engine doesnt sound like a truck motor.
EDIT: I wonder what these people do in their spare time? If I know that the C230K is slower than an R, how come they don't? They're techs for christ sake!

the SLK 320 sound gorgous not like the 230 and the tech are just baised towards german cars. The know and respect the handling of my car but they don't think it could win a race. On a track they did infact say I would domnite them, but they just wanna have some fun today with some highway pulls and straight line accelaration
the c230 kompressor coupes do have some pretty good top end..i could just keep up with one on the highway..it actually surprised me because my car is pretty quick (even tho its a gsr sedan) - im runnin stock usdm itr pistons w/spec b's, itr tranny, jdm fd, etc. i couldnt pull him in but he didnt gain on me either. id say its a somewhat comparable car to the R (in terms of speed).
they really hate Jap cars, so they think they are inferior in every way, they say they are made of tin foil and stuff. They have never driven my car but iv driven their (hahah)
My grade school friend (yeah I still keep contact with him
) worked for the MB marketing dept in Germany. He said that the German guys hate the Japanese companies because they can duplicate the same hi-tech stuff within weeks and costs 50% less. That can be taken as a compliment I guess.

Back to the C coupe thing, their top end is kinda sick with the supercharger and all, it should be a great highway pull.

Hooptie, a tad OT...how do you like the mugen header? im really trying to decide between that and a JDM ITR 4-1, i cant really justify the price, but something about owning that peice, gets me all puffy inside

the SLK32 is a sick *** car, SICK. Its got 349hp from a supercharged V-6 and will walk on anything short of an M3. I drove one and it was one of the fastest things I've driven to date. The fastest was the SL55 AMG 500hp and viper like speed
If you see an SLK32 or C32, just give them respect because they WILL kill you ITR, they run about 4.8 0-60

dood.. yer itr should take that.. i have an LS.. with like 112 HP and my brothers GF has a c320 (maybe a 230) but she pulls on me, not hard but she beats me. u should have no prob.
Hooptie, where is the headquarters at? I got a friend that works at Mercedes somewhere in north jersey. His name is Joe and drives a silver CLK and a blueish Golf.
BTW you should not even waste your time on a C230, especially with your mods. And for everyone else, you shoulda heard what a BMW dealer said about the S2K when compared to the M Coupe
