Default Advice on fuel pumps... again

I'm sure this has been beat to death, but I couldn't find a thread with a set up close to mine. So here we go...
91 CRX
D15/y8 Mini me
14b turbo 6-10 psi
chip from Pheriable
Precision 440 injectors
(not sure on fuel rail or FPR yet, any suggestions on those would be great!)

I'm leaning toward Walbro but not sure which one would be enough. With this motor I doubt I'm going to get up to the 300hp mark so I'm sure an intake pump will work until I swap to a bigger motor down the road (and a fuel cell). So with that said will the standard 255lph walbro be my best bet? Or do I need to run with the 255lph HP walbro pump?

thanks for any help.

255lph is going to meet your goals pretty well but there's not much of a price difference between that and the 22lph HP one. Also, if you want to save 30 bucks, i believe xenocron makes a 255lph fuel pump and they recommend the aeromotive fpr as well. For an under 300hp car, i wouldn't really worry on an fpr or fuel rail. I dont' think it will benefit you much. Either get a xenocron 255 or a walbro. Sorry if some of this doesn't make sense. i'm drunk right now :p

Just by the biggest walbro 255 hp they have been run up to 575hp 600hp being the top hp range they are all $90. Just get the bigger one now.

Well the 190 walbro is $80, the 255 is $90, and the 255HP is $100, so 10 or 20 bux is 10 or 20 bux. I mean there's no reason to get the biggest fuel pump I can if one that is cheaper will work just fine. I'm not trying to cheap out, just not sure if the 190 would be enough (i'm new to fuel pumps and stuff since I've never gone FI and haven't had to look into them yet) and I didn't want to go overboard.

I read about 20 posts about this and it's like 6 on one side half dozen on the other as to going with the 255 or the 255HP, was hoping to get some more thoughts on it before I purchase mine.

Thanks for the input though...

The HP pump is said to be used for higher pressure applications. Any normal 255lph(or 67.36gph) pump will be sufficent for your build.

lph means Liters Per Hour
HP means High Pressure

I figured the normal 255lph pump would be fine. I just didn't think there would be any benefit to getting the HP pump. Thanks for the advice.

The lph drops off hard after 400 hp, while the HP does not. Check out lightning motorsports they have really good prices. Not to be an *** or anythind but if your griping about 10 or 20 bucks this may not be the best hobbie to get into. Also I noticed you said you have a quaife LSD. Are you building a 1000 HP car???? No but you didnt want go go back and rebuild your tranny later because of insificant parts, right? I hope you get my point, build it with the best parts once. Or pay twice as much later down the road.

With that mind set, an in-tank pump shouldn't be an option then should it?

haha..anyway. Just buy the regular 255lph pump. It's probably in 90% of the turbo cars on here and works fine.

Did I say I was gripping about 10 bux, no. I was simply asking a question on what others are doing. The reason for the Quaife??? 1000hp, of course not, I've blown up 4 differentials (killing all four trannies) so I went with a good LSD that has a lifetime gurantee. Quaife was the cheapest and best in my mind (screw OBX) so I went with them. That's the reason. Do I need a fuel pump capable of 9000 HP, no, but one for say 180 might not do me good. So quit being an *** and go **** yourself! Thank you very much.

AHAHAHA I am bringing this site down? I am being an ***? You came on this site asking for people's opinions and I gave you mine, you sheltered momma's boy. Heaven forbid, I tell you to get the best possible part for your setup, which you will be changing or uping the boost on eventually. I think it's funny you say you have a race civic and you are an ASE master tech and you want to open your own shop but you don't know what fuel pump to use in your pathetic excuse for a car. You are bringing this site down. You claim to know so much but really you know nothing at all. You can go kick rocks, loser.

Thanks to everyone who put in their two cents and didn't feel the need to flame.

I was just curious what most other people we're doing. Obviously Walbro offers different sized pumps for a reason and if I'm only going to be maybe in the neighborhood of 300 hp (someday because yes the boost will go up like usual) then the 190 might not be my best option. The 255HP might be a bit much, but I didn't know what they we're meant for, so now I understand better. Thank you.

BlakeJ: sorry for doing the same thing you did to me. Flamers just really irriate me. Search a lot of post (especially in this forum) and you'll see it a lot. A lot of good people are leaving this site for the same crap you did, so maybe you should think before you post.

Thanks again for the help.

Just get a Walbro 190 or 255. If you are making big power go with the 255 if you are just keeping what you have. 190 is fine.

every tuner i have been to said to buy the 255 lp unless i am running a boost dependent fpr. in that case you would run a 255 hp, like they used to with the vortec fpr and the missing link.

by the way, if you still want a 255 hp i have one for sale for $60 brand new with the pickup filter and install kit.
