We mount over 200 sets of wheels and slicks every year with our wheels and they mount up usually on the first try. We do use a bead grease to help it pop the bead, but you can have the same effect with a soapy water solution. We usually never have to go past 30psi to get the beads to sit. Its not the powdercoat at all. Thats never been an issue at all. Its just the way you grease it up, thats how it helps pop into the bead.

just mounted mine yesterday, i use soapy water. take out the valve core, air them up to 40, deflate, air it up again, deflate, repeat til the bead pops. it usually moves a little at a time.

Have you tried bouncing it? I built aircraft rims and tires for the Navy and when ours dont seat we bounce and air them at the same time only were doing it with 400 psi.

We dont suggest airing them up that high. Ya its tempting to pump it up high to see if it would pop the bead, but it really just needs better lubrication. It might take a few times of airing them up, deflating them, rotating the tire a bit to pop it into the bead. Boostedcivicsir procedure is correct, take out the valve core when you put air in them. That makes a difference as well.

mine usually take 50psi to seat the bead...even though it says on the tire do not exceed 30psi when seating bead or something lol.. try hitting the tire when youre airing it up.

I had the hardest time with the exact same rims and tires. One mounted at around 80psi third try but the other seriously took about 20 tries with just over 100psi lubed with rachet strap behind a fork truck about 35ft away. I was really sketchy about trying it but just couldn't get it to go. It has to be something about certain m/t with old lensos? I have had mh tires with exospeeds and they beaded no problem?
