Can not unlock Driver side door
My door does not unlock when i hit the keyless entry. The passenger side door does unlock however. But if i have the key in the ignition and i close the door it will lock me out of the car completely. Funny thing on the driver side is that the door will not unlock with the key either. I have to enter the car through the passenger side. I am not sure if this is a door lock problem or something with the alarm. Either way i cant open my door to pull the panel to check it out.
someone else just had this problem recently; check for their thread, i'm not sure if they got it resolved yet. one suggestion is to roll the window down and try to manually lift the rod inside the door with a coat hanger or something to release the lock mechanism and open the door.
it was me. No i havent messed with it much. Between school and the weather being cold until this week i havent gotten around to really driving it much let alone working on it.
you're going to need to get that door Panel off.
-try roling down the window, as mentioned above, with a coat hanger or similar to pull the rod mechanism. You can also try unscrewing the cover piece to the door handle, taking it loose and pulling on the rod that way.
-Once you get the door unlocked and Panel off, check the alarm wiring on the clip, make sure it didn't come disconnected.
-make sure everything works right obviously before putting it back together.
-If that doesn't work, try following the alarm wiring to the source, it may of come disconnected under your feet and you just don't know it. Ther's a lot of wires under there....

I would guess your lock actuator is toast. It needs replacing. It failed in a position that restricts manual unlocking attempts. Roll down the window so you can grab hold of the door lock rod. Try tugging up and pushing down on it while you work the key in the lock. Be carefull you don't break the key by twisting it too hard.

I pulled the panel off. When I go to unlock from the inside it feels like its resisting, very hard to pull back and wont even go to the unlock position. The lever rod seems to be working correctly but its still not unlocking the door.
This problem started as an issue with the door only not unlocking with the keyless entry and now that door wont unlock at all.

I just tested the door lock actuator, in both lock and unlock the actuator clicked. The door however did not unlock. I also tested for continuity in the locked position, and it has continuity across the correct pins.
still can not get this opened. Any help would be appreciated. The latch itself is busted but I can not get it opened to change the latch.
This video helps but is not very clear.

Yeah, not so sure about that video. I wouldn't go drilling random holes just yet. When you pulled the panel off, were all the rods connected on both ends? How do you know the latch itself is broken and what exactly is broken?
