Door lock on the passenger side will not go down
I have a 1998 Honda Civic LX and for some reason only the driver's side door up front will not lock. Manual or off the electric switch it just will not go down. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Anyone have a procedure to tear the door apart? TIA

the door lock rod has to be binding possibly a busted retaining clip, pop off the door panel and take a peak, if you dont find any problems check the latch

Re: Door lock on the passenger side will not go down (Intercooler)
My car is haunted! It will go down with the door open and will also go down if I use the key on the outside even with the door closed. What gives?

id be willing to bet that its an actuator, from what youve described. sorry to get back to you so late ive been busy, its a pretty safe bet, and they are not that expensive

yeah just take ur door apart and check to see whats going on when u lock, unlock....
The lock button is attached to a rod that leads to the lock actuator. Take apart the panel roll up ur window, and check it out!
