Help! 94 teg brake problem!!!!

i recently placed a bad wheel bearing in my passenger side front wheel, ended up just replacing the whole hub. but ever since the swap, when i use my brakes they work fine right until im about to stop completely and then u hear/feel some sort of grinding like noise and the brakes kind of ease up and start sliding for a few seconds and then they feel like they lock down and the car stops. they only do this for the first few stops after cutting the car on and after that the brakes seem to work normally. also my ABS light has been on ever since so i was wondering if my ABS system could be messed up somehow or it was a master cylinder problem or something! if anyone has any info please help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! any info will be greatly appreciated!!!
