Sounds like you have a rock stuck between your rotor and the splash shield...that or you have eaten the brake pads down to the steel backing.

I hella got a little rock stuck there before haha. I was running a friend and suddenly I heard this loud screaching death sound and I freaked and thought I broke something. I looked around the car and I saw a little smoke coming from the front passenger wheel so I checked it out and a little rock fell out lol.

Its not uncommon, the splash shields are about 1/8th of a inch from the rotors. Thats one of the reasons it is so easy to over cook the brakes on the ep...I pulled my spash shields off years ago....

I'm probably pulling off my wheels to paint them this weekend so I think I'll take them off while I have the wheels off. You don't have to remove any brake parts do you?

Yea, you have to pull the rotors and calipers, then its just 4 small bolts and 2 snips with a tin snips.....easy enough.

Just take off the wheel and wiggle the splash shield and see if any rocks fall out.

we had it taken to a mechanic to have it looked at and he said that he thinks the rear roters are warped but that doesn't sound right because the noice is n the front
