P72 for sure, some ebay sellers try to market the P73s saying it will make your GSR run better, very untrue

There is no magic wand for your engine. The P72 is the correct ECU for a stock B18C1.

the only way a p73 will run better on a gsr is when you get a single runner manifold, better exhaust and ideally ITR cams. if you still have the stock GSR manifold they are a very very bad bad idea

If you start swapping internals on an engine, you should tune your ECU (OBD1 conversion). Using a preset program will not be optimal.

i'm saying a p73 runs the best on an ITR. if you change the combo around it effects vacuum which is what the map uses to calculate what to do. you can get one to run alright with a single runner manifold and good exhaust with the GSR cams but you usually need to back off fuel pressure. a wideband or at a minimum a real scan tool is needed to see what the ecu is doing. a lot of people just say "go obd1 and get a tune" because they have no idea how to tune a car. if you don't either, take the advice. by doing so someone who does know how to tune will do so.
