I noticed today everytime I go into 5th above 3500 rpm, it grinds. No matter how slowly and carefully I press the clutch and shift, it grinds. Should I start saving for a new tranny? I dont believe its worth rebuilding so I'm looking at getting a used (maybe new one if the price is right :cough: type R :cough: ). Any suggestions/comments appreciated.

 

Syncs. 300 fromAcura. I am doing my third gear now.

 

since its 5th gear i woulnt worry about it, it can grind for years and years before it'll stop going into gear, now if it was say 2cnd or 3rd, which you shift hard into often, then theyre more likely to fail after a while.

 

Double clutch (shift into neutral ...then shift into 5th)... if you want to make it not grind....

I had mine replaced by the dealer... 700+ if warranty didn't cover it...
