Radiator fan not coming on? help!
Ok first of all, i have no a/c, so i took off the a/c fan.
yesterday myradiator breaks on the bottom. I buy a new one, replace it, refill it properly and im on my way. Then, today, i had been driving around for awhile and i get to my friends house and i noticethe temp needle going up. i pull in, and steam is coming from the hood. i pop the hood, and there is hot air coming from the hose that goes into the radiator fluid resevoir. hmm..........take off my radiator cap and its busted, so we replace that and fush and refill the system. it runs fine and it didnt overheat on the way home (15 minutes). but we let it idle for a good 5-10 mintes and the fan never came on. also when i got home, i popped the hoodand again there was no fan. did we fix the problem or should the fn be coming on at idle? the needle stays SLIGHTY on the cold side. if the fan werent coming on would it affect anything?
thanks to anyone who can help

the car would overheat if the fan didnt come on, but that's after a pretty hard drive. the fan should in most cases come on if u let it idle. try checking the fuses in the engine bay.
Test it out and hook up the + side of the fan directly to the batterie. Then you will see it, if the fan is defect or not. Relay or the fuse can be also the problem.
