Broken hood latch bracket
I have a 2001 Honda civic 2 door LX, the “T” bracket holds the hood latch has broke on 1 side. I was able to put a washer on one side and reattach the hood latch to the bracket. How ever this has came loose and I'm afraid of the hood being ripped off and braking my window.
I wanted to see if any one has had this problem and how to go about fixing it. Also wondering if this is the correct name for the bracket.
Thank you for your time

It ripped out the whole piece on one side. It is also super thin I myself can't weld. I'd rather just have the piece replaced. Also really tight spot probably have to remove it to weld.
I'll call some body shops tomorrow I'll try to take a pic so you can see the exact part. Hope its not too expensive but safety comes 1st. I didn't think about them being able to add more metal to bring up the structural integrity. Thank you for your time guys.

I had the same problem. The radiator support needs to be replaced, I took my car to a body shop and for $70 they did a light weld and used big *** screws to secure the hood latch, its been fine for 2 years.
In the meantime get some cable hooks and secure your hood with that so it dont come off.

Well I took it to one body shop today, they didn't want to weld it. They want to replace it. For only $600 ! I'm gonna check another body shop, I think I will go with pins before this. Who could I have do pins for me? I'm sure its not that hard but I don't have tools and don't want it looking like crap. (so I shouldn't do it)!
