ok the car was working fine last night and all of a sudden i get ready to go to work... well i start up my car and it stays going for like 1 sec unless im pushin on the gas!!! as soon as i release it quits and dies out,... what could this be? my girl said it might be a tranny fluid leak but i want to know what possibilities it would be before paying 300000 out of pocket just to get something small fixed!!!

ROFL, Sorry, before I put my foot in my mouth I will qualify that snicker with, my guess is it is not because of a tranny leak, there are more then a few things that can cause it, idle speed setting for one, but the easy thing to check for would be moisture, pull the distributor cap and check for moisture inside the cap and distributor, pull the spark plug leads and inspect them and down the spark plug holes and the spark plugs for moisture. 94
