If its still making power up to that point, with springs and retainers i dont see why not...but theres obviously no reason to bring it that high if its not making more power.

9K = BOOM!! (most likely lol) the rods you have are still stock stroke correct? you could rev a B20 that high, but you'll run the risk of pushing the piston through the wall. this is one downfall with the CR/vtec builds is that you cant rev em that high. if it was mine i wouldnt go any higher than 7,500

stick to 8k... unless you have an aftermarket oil pan.. not enough oil while reving too high for a long time will = KABOOM!

to put in better prospective, the B16B for instance has a stroke of 77.4 mm, bore 81 mm and is able to rev to 8,400 factory but can safely go much higher. the B20 has 89 mm stroke, bore 84 mm, a big diff and red lines at 6,300.

dam never knew that lol... i guess ill stick with 8k.. 7.5k at 2nd-3rd gears rpm drops to 5.3k or so n vtec doesnt kick lol.. 8k makes it stays in vtec all the way

it blows up because lack of oil.. you need a better oil pan then the oem one.. like Moroso then you can rev higher than 8k..

Don't quote me, but I thought the B16B redlined at 9000rpm.

Yeah, they don't know Hondas well at all. They aren't the best company to communicate with, either...but I have had positive experiences with them and will be a returning customer.

Yup. It's easier for me, too, since they're local. I can hand-pick

i think 8k is fine and gives the next gear enough power to keep going fast.. 7.5k seems alido weak for me.. but never tried 9k and want to be on safer side.. about miss shifts i havent really miss yet once when racing.. hopefully new grs tranny can handle it lol
