D16 reving
how far can i rev to on a turbo d16 with a je pistons eagle rods and a block gaurd on a d16y8 and a p28 ecu without rev limiter ?????? help ??? and what can i do to rev to 9k ?

good rods, pistons, and block guard will not stop the valves from floating at higher rpms. Additionally, you will not make much power at 9000rpms with a stock cam and IM and oil control problems arise before that. Be smart and get a good valve train+cam and just rev to 7800-8000rpms. This isn't a b-series.

My motor is built ever way imagineable and it only makes power to 8200. That's all the D's are good for. People who want to rev higher don't realize that the longer stroke of the D gives it a lot of torque, so it's not really a hinderance having a lower redline.
At any rate, if you get springs and retainers, you can rev to 8200. Whether or not it will make power that high will have to be determined on the dyno.
