Icon6 d16y8 to ob1 conversion help

hey i have just recently swap my EJ to a d16y8 and converted to a obd1
using a obd2-obd1 wire harness and i am also using a stock p28 ecu

for some reason my check engine light is on and the car seem like its darning alot of powers (the lights is flickering) the car also idle

any help would be appreciated

from what i know of OBD conversions, you did it right.
OBD2-OBD1 wire harness and a p28.

what codes are you throwing?

how do i check for the code
my ej doesn;t have the plug like the eg where you can check it

ITS ONLY BEEN ONE MINUTE! you have to give it time for ppl to see, read, and reply.

and connect your OBD1 diagnostic reader to the OBD1 connection port. it should be on your driver side. under the leg panel

i don't have a obd1 diagnostic reader, i only have a obd11. Is there another way, to do it like the eg?

i believe there is a 2 pin connector by the ECU. or above the glove box. disconnect it and connect both with a paper clip.
your CEL will start blinking. and depending on the number of times it blinks and how it blinks(if it stays on long or a quick blink) it well tell you the code.
BUT i am not 100% sure of this 2pin location. i would search but the search is down
