my car is a 2003 5sp element,

when i am driving, whenever I have the clutch press in, and not giving any gas, the engine still reviving high to 4000 rpm for like 30 seconds, especially when it come stop sght, I didn't giving any gas, the car still going like 2000-4000 rpm, like the throttle cable didn't get release or something, but I checked the throttle cable..it looks fine to me.

anybody got any idea? I know the clutch is need to replace soon.

It is the clutch or TPS ??

could be idle air control valve. What engine is in the element? why did you post this in the dc5/ep3 forum??

 

That reving is usually either from a vaccum leak or the IACV might be dirty or need replacing. Either way, good luck. I had this problem and it was a total nightmare. Ended up being a dirty IACV.

 

It is k24a8...pretty much same as accord, crv..or rsx..
