Icon6 Iacv problem?

Ok so i got a d16z6 idling issue. I just got this car recently and am not new to the honda scene. I can not figure this problem out though. Cold start- idles normal. After running a few minutes 3-5 it just starts purging. Im guessing its the iacv but im not sure. I was told this item was recently replaced and provided the receipt from previous owner so i took it off and it looks pretty clean. Any other suggestions on what to check for?

You might have an air bubble in you coolant lines. I had that problem after I flushed my coolant but I kept driving it and after a while it worked itself out.
You can try bleeding your cooling system but you'll probably have to put the front of the car on stands in order to get it out.
Did you check your coolant level? Both in the radiator and in the overflow?

i thought about it being air in the coolant lines. I just replaced the radiator and fan. Possibly did get air in there. I have checked the coolant level though. It all looked good other then my Radiator was a tiny pic low.

Try bleeding it with the bleed screw by the thermostat housing (near the head) and see if that helps. It didn't work when I tried it but like I said, mine eventually worked itself out. Just make sure you keep the overflow full.

Update on this issue. I just bleed the cooling system. It's still idling funny. Not right off a cold start but after it warms up. I still can't figure out what is causing the weird idle. Any suggestions?

Is the CEL ON?

The fast idle valve (FITV) probably needs a cleaning. Start by checking whether the fast idle valve port in the throttle body continues to suck air even after the engine is warm. If so, cleaning the FITV should fix the problem.

Does placing your finger over the FITV port when the idle is fluctuating stop the problem?

Have you checked whether the 2-wire coolant temperature sensor under the distributor is malfunctioning?

Is a vacuum hose or an intake air gasket (TB or IM) leaking?

I havent tried puttin my finger over the FITV port. But i have checked the wires. I posted the other thread and My car was overheating ie.-Fan or Relay....but my fan did end up kicking on after running the jumper wire to the 2p connector. So that issue is the switch it plugs into correct?

And no i havent seen or heard a vaccum hose or Im leak.

Try the test to rule in or out the FITV.

Correct.

You may not be able to see or hear a leak. Spray carb cleaner around vacuum hose connections and intake gaskets. If the engine idle changes speed, you have located a leak.
