starting problem on prelude
ok i have a 89 honda prelude. it has trouble starting when hot but after it gets started it runs great. but the starting problem is only when it is hot because if u drive it and it wont start then u just let it set for a while untill it cools down and then it starts up fine. but when it has trouble starting the code it gives me is 15 ignition output signal. but it has never died on me after i got it started. and i have replace the main relay the ignition module and crank sensor and it did nothing . and some times when it is cranking if you shut it off and then turn it on really fast it will start up but most of the time is just cranks. please help
ignition coil...mines does the same thing and i'm very confident its the ignition coil...there is a thread on this somewheres...do a search...i read it a while back and it help me diagnose my problem...as soon as they F***ing fix the search
no i havnt put a new coil in yet. however after some long researched and troubleshooting we have pin pointed the problem as being the ignition coil

ok i replaced my coil and it seems to have fixed the problem but right after i put it on my radiator hose broke and i am wating to fix that so i cant really get it hot lol. but my car also use to mess up if you went out and started it like five times in a row it would start to mess up and it dose not do that any more so i hope it fixed it
While the coil is a likely suspect, it is not the only one.
Another possibility is leaking fuel injectors. After turning off the car, fuel bleeds from the injectors until the fuel pressure drops back to zero and causes a flooded condition. After sitting for a bit, the fuel "cooks" off.
When the engine is cold, it requires more fuel and it not bothered by traces left from the last run.

hey i got another question ok i replaced the coil and the distributor cap and now when i first it will stay around 1500 rpms and then it will drop and then go back up and down and it will do thi untill i drive it and then it stops
Once your at warm operating temperature this fluctuation stops??
ok now it dose not do that any more itjust idles low and if you watch it you can see it moving just a little kinda back in fourth and it idles really rough i replace spark plug wires
ok i was wrong the coil did not work and i noticed that when it is cranking the rpms will kinda jump up and then go back down kinda like it is getting sparking and just not firing like maybe not getting fuel or really weak spark do you have any other ideas
