check for vacuum leaks.. very likely a line cracked. Make sure pcv and no other lines are clogged (like ones going to your intake).

Try resetting your battery.

As a last resort, adjust the idle adjustment screw

My car does this everytime, but its freezing over here. I thought the computer makes the engine idle high to warm up quicker.

The cold idle is like 1600rpm's.. 2000rpm's is kinda high I think.

My civic idles at 3k when it's cold, at about 700 when it's warm. O.o

I just sorta got used to it, even tho I know it shouldn't do that. haha

Mine was doing this too; the throttle valve seemed to stick to the actual throttle body.

Grab some STP throttle body and intake cleaner, and clean the hell out of it. You can take the TB off (preffered method), or do it with it on. Do this w/ the car off at first, and make sure to really scrub that cleaner in. There will be a lot of carbon/varnish. Then, turn the car on and go over the same steps again (obviously w/ the tb reattached). Take the hose off that goes from the valve cover to the inake, and spray the hell outta it.. could be clogged.

i said that with hints of sarcasm "as in the idle screw is screwed out so far its hardly touching the throttle body and if its not touching the throttle body will stick"
