Default Regulator on fuel rail

Okay heres the deal, I have a golden eagle fuel rail and a aeromotive fuel pressure regulator.

My problem is that if I mounted the regulator directly onto the rail with the correct aluminum fitting does that pose a problem for breaking off? I've seen many ppl mount it this was but when I went to the Earl's store they recommended me not to mount it this way cause they said "for sure it will break".

Has anyone have their fitting break due to mounting it like this? If so what type of fitting did you use? aluminum or steel.

thanks

Lots of people do it and get away with it - but, fittings are not designed to support weight, add engine vibration and wheel hop... it could easily break off. They told you the safest thing so you can't come back to them and say, "well you said I should be ok, and it broke so it's your fault and you suck." lol
