My ITR is back !!!
After 3 months of the CTR 12.1 CR failed rebuilt i got my car back.
Already have 750 miles on it and it´s great.
Running right now at 55 psi and 13º timing base during breake in cause i don´t want to have any problems, like detonation.
I´m runing 11.5 CR 82.mm pistons and eagle rods, the head and block were decked in a total of 0.023 inches. ( stock injectors but 98 octane gas )
Now my question is from 750-1000 miles how to drive my ITR, i drove very slow so far.
About fuel pressure and timing should i raise my FPR and keep the 13º timing or raise it to. I´m running stock 240 cc injectors.
Thanks,
Pinota

After about 250 miles of constant up and down rev's on the street to seat the rings, and then an oil change... I like to break my motors in at the drag strip... get them used to what they'll be seeing all the time
I believe bearing shed, and ring seating is all set after about 100-150 miles of driving. Just look at the oil that comes out of the first oil change. Little bits and pieces of **** everywhere. It's great.

.....don't go over 4k for the first couple hundred miles. then don't go over 5k for then next 200 miles or so... then don't go over 6k for the next 200 or so... change oil after 500 miles, then 500 more...
make sure you tune it on the dyno for a/f after the 1st 1k miles... then have fun!

I´m gona install tonight my Greddy A/F warning metter.
It´s not a wideband on a dyno, but it has a good accuracy.
What do you think ?
What about hp, what can i expect with:
Endyn 82.mm - 11.5 CR
Eagle rods, bored 70mm TB
P&P head, decked ( decked block too ) total about 0.026 inches
AEM CAI, B&M FPR, Hondata gasket, V- AFC
DC JDM 4-1, supersprint 60,5mm B-pipe and ractive exaust 60,5mm, No CAT
What can i expect with this setup, hp ???
Thanks,
Pinota

sgT do you think so ?
The head and the block were decked just to clean the surface.
Using stock 240 cc i won´t be able to tune my ITR, even with FPR and V-AFC ?
I´m running 98 octane gas.

i know so. .026" is a LOT more than is needed to "clean" the surface unless there
was serious damage. The most I ever remove is .010"
I would get 270cc injectors if i were you.

Here are some tips:
-Do not drive your car at a constant speed/RPM. Vary your speed and RPM as described above.
-Do not beat the crap out of a brand new motor right off the bat. Drive it 'firm' and do not baby it.
-Do not use synthetic oil. Castrol 10W/30 has always worked for me when breaking in motors.
-Use common sense and follow the recommendations given in this post.
