Well Im still havin the same damn problems ...I started up the B18a1 this morning and when i rev up to 3k its just stutters and hesistates like crazy ....Im running the Crx Si ecu right now ( MY PR4 should be here today) ..But I know it cant be causing hesistation like that ...Whats going on here ?? When driving it has pretty ruff hesistation also

Havnt driven it more than maybe 5 mins though ..How long does it take to throw a iac code ?? It will rev as far as I want but just has horrible hesistaion from idle to about 3200 rpms ..then seems to clear up

it only takes a few seconds to get a code, when driving it will put up a code quick.if ther is no codes then its not a senseor.

bought from where? auto zone like $150.00 life time warranty.if you want to know ifs its really the distrib,go to auto zone buy one bolt up and leave it clean see how it runs.if it still runs the same take it back for refund!!!!!! hehe

Ok i went out and messed with it some ....Hers what i found ..I held the revs at a constant rpm such as 1500 2000 bam 2500 it hesistaes like crazy at 2500 then it smooths out fine past that ...up to 4 everything seems fine ...Any ideas now ?
Its hesistaing ..no knock to it ..the motor only has 75k on it ...its running rich i can smell fuel ....It has the big stumble at 2500 that seems to be the only place it hesistates ?
check your vacuum line hook up and also try another ECU if you have one. If using another same ECU works then it would be the ECU that is the problem. But check and make sure all your vac lines are connected to the right things.
Yea im pretty sure my vaccum is right ..im running the crx si just for now ...as i said pr4 should be here hopefuly :\ .... But only at 2500 it hesistates ....
My d16z6 was doing that a while back. It ended up being the intake manifold gasket was leaking. What happened was i didn't completely torque the middle bolt on the bottom because of the location. At 3500 it would have enough pressure to suck extra unaccounted for air into the mix. To test this start the car and let idle. Take carb cleaner spray and spray around the intake gasket.
