H11 bulbs & 9006 ballasts
My problem is, i had an integra which had a 9006 HID kit on it. Integra gets totalled, bought another car and i went ahead and purchased H11 HID bulbs for the fogs, thinking i can just use the rest of the 9006 HID kit minus the 9006 bulbs. After thinking about it, now i realize i dont think i can use the 9006 male plug coming from the ballasts and put it into the H11 female connector on the stock wiring for the foglights...stupid me for purchasing w/o thinking!!...so my question is what can i do? has any1 else been in a problem like this? I am thinking maybe there is some sort of a conversion from H11 to 9006 adapter or sumthing like that???
thanks
thanks
For the most part the shape is the same form the 9006 to the h11, the center piece is a bit different and how it locks to the bulb is different. Depending on what you have from your kit you can either make adaptors from the bases of the H11 bulbs soldered to the wires of a female 9006 plug. The only issue for direct plug n play is the H11 locks to the bulb base on the sides, the 9006/9005/9145 lock on the tops. Another option is to get a relay kit from like retro-solutions (HERE), would take the H11 plug for signal and have the 9006 bases for powering the ballasts...
No problem, the relay is a great idea when ever doing HID stuff simply because it pulls from the battery and removes the load off the factory wires which is a good. And Retro-solutions kits for 35bucks is a great deal, plus he's a forum seller which makes getting a hold of him for issues more likely than somebody in China..

probably install them next week if the weather is warmer, hope it turns out good.
