Can you post pics of the ballasts?

Sounds like you bought bulbs made for Aftermarket HID Kits and not to the specific ones you have. It would help to see the ballast and connector for the bulb itself

well if they were retro fitted you would have to use the bulb of the car that the kit came off of. Not too sure if im right but could be wrong.

Ok Buddy, what you have are the Mitsu or Panasonic OEM Acura HID ballasts, commonly found in TL's and TSX's. I would not advise you to use that bulb with that ballast. I'm sure there's a way to get em powered up, but it would require chopping the OEM bulb connector from your current ballasts. NOT good...

My Advice: Sell the 9006 bulbs you bought, pick up a set of d2r/d2s Philips or Osram 4300K bulbs, and get them rebased to lock in a 9006 headlight housing.

At least this way, it'll plug right into the headlight connector from the ballasts you have now, and will probably be better in color and quality.

if they are actually retrofitted they would almost certainly use d2s bulbs, i would be retarded to cut the high voltage leads on the ballasts.
